It's Beginning to Feel A Lot Like Christmas
The halls are decked! I finished yesterday! I was just needing one more garland and I was needing to finish the tree... check!
Here is a blurp of the season here in our home...
fun dishes
Peace in the kitchen. I even wrapped the pot rack in berry garland. I may keep it up all year!
Red abounds in the family room. Bright jewel colors are in the living room.
I scored at Target, last year, after Christmas.
I got not one, but two packages from the UPS man yesterday! Complete surprise and OH SO FUN!
The first box was from my crazy cool friends Susan and Beth Opel. Man, they spoiled me rotten! Check out the goods! Love you ladies. I'm so glad we are friends!
I will totally use these! I JUST bought the big background stamp that matches the giant roller... love it!
Fun embellies and stickers
Just to get a feel of HOW much paper they sent!
I also got a CK album and a 13 pocket storage deal. I was seriously giggling to myself as I went through my goodies! Yea for early Christmas gifts! Seriously, I'm so glad to know these ladies, and not just because they send me my own DT worth of supplies! We have connected and I feel like we get, and value each other. Love you girls!
The next big box was from my mom. She sent us our Christmas gifts. I held out all of 10 minutes to open mine. I already knew it was a painting, but I couldn't wait to see it. She has painted something for each of us this year. It is perfect and I can't wait to have another piece of her, this time a watercolor, hanging in my home. This one will go in my living room. She is oh so talented and I love that she is re-discovering her immense talent for artwork. She normally works with oil paint and she isn't completely satisfied with her work in watercolors... whatever! I love it!
This was one she did a couple of years ago. This one is with pastels... chalk people... isn't that crazy! Wow! This one hangs in my family room, and the three women are actually my mom. A little girl, motherhood and grandmotherhood. Mom, if you read this, I am in awe of your talent and for so many years I have only seen remnants, things you did a long time ago. I am thrilled to see, first hand, you in your creative element. It is inspiring. Keep on creating!
