Discovering the "B-lister" in him!
There is this joke in Matt's family. The boys tease his mom about the A-list and B-list boys. Since I enjoy the sarcasm and ongoing joke I will reference it here and now!
Matt has always been an "A-list"er. He has recently been showing signs of the B-list. He has been quite the handy man with this house. This weekend he has inched even closer! He ripped out our whole basement ceiling on Saturday and went and got can lights. He spent the whole day in our basement putting in lighting. It works and looks wonderful! Now we have to put a ceiling in!
There is much potential in that basement. We just need some money to dump there!
I cut Q's hair on Saturday. It looks much better. I'll post some photos later.
Around here many of our friends cut out of town during the summers. Many are students of some sort at UB. As we came back from vacation we have found that all have returned and are getting ready for another year. It is good to have everyone back.
It rained today, not very hard. I don't know why our power was knocked out, but it was. I have this nag in my mind to "be prepared". I want to get us there, so I don't have to worry. I think we want to purchase a generator and I need to get our 72 hour kits done.
Back to the vacation...
I know that Rod reads this so here are the photos I took of your boys. Love them.
We headed down to Lynn's on Friday. Matt stayed down there a whole week, I stayed until Tuesday. It was filled with fun. We went to the pool, park and played outside. The boys went golfing, fishing and 4 wheeling. We played games, watched movies and visited.
G got sick while we were at Lynn's. Both kids were hit with allergies and G got pretty bad. We didn't bring any medicine or anything and he was miserable. Fortunately, with Robin's help we were able to get a prescription, and we went ahead and bought our own nebulizer (Amy I'll get yours back to you). G was whiny and sluggish. All he wanted was his daddy, who just wanted to be with his fam. Q was slow to open up at first, but LOVED playing with her cousin just a year older than her. They weren't 'buds', Q corrected us, the were "best friends". Very cute!
I went back to Candice's on Tuesday and we spent our time playing with their neighbor, whom Q also enjoyed, went swimming and shopping.
When Matt picked us up on Friday we headed straight to the Taylor's. They are our friends from Buffalo actually and they recently moved to UT. It was great seeing them again. They are wonderful.
