Our Life Lately... In Photos
- Wearing nothing but man socks and my calf sleeve! Aroused? I'm sure! Would you look at the warmth involved in these serious socks? I need some muscle on my legs...
Did the hibbity-dibbity a couple of nights ago and laughed! Lingerie? Unnecessary. Sex appeal? Unnecessary! All you need apparently is some nudity coupled with... anything else!
All of the necessary parts were easily accessible, but I wasn't about to take off my man socks... it's freezing! AND, if you've ever worn these calf sleeves you know the effort that goes into getting them on and off! I have a serious pull going on... I wasn't about to endeavor taking that thing off, plus I wanted to ensure I didn't strain anything during all of the action! :)
15.5 years doing the deed with this man... I'm really shocked that he's still interested! I have obviously underestimated the power of support hoes!
- Missing Grandma. Look at these goofballs. They did puzzles together, and of course requested Grandma make her special pancakes. I love that they will always have these things that define their relationship with her.
We've not been back to the JCC as a family, but I would like to. I've been swimming there and I really enjoy it. I think our 'family time' there would be well spent teaching these kids to swim, not just playing around. I bet they'd do really well.
- G had his band concert. This kid constantly has me in awe. How can someone be so good at so many things? He's so smart, he is great at any sport he tries. He's so right brained that anything musical or artistic always surprises me, coming from him. BUT, he's really talented. He hears it, and he's willing to practice to better himself, something that can't be taught... I have to nag about other things, but not about him practicing. He wants to be good, so he'll put in the time. I love that about him.
Not gonna lie, the concert was looooonnnnngggg! We had to sit through orchestra, then chorus, then the band played. I almost wanted to poke my eyes out by the end, but we made it! Having a seat makes all the difference! We got there early and snagged our seats, we brought tablets to keep little one's occupied and overall it was good.
G had a special part where he got to come out and play in the front. Those that had memorized words to this song got to do that. They sang, then played. Glad about that since we couldn't see him otherwise!
- All of the boys have been into Legos as of late, but little O the most. He has been so creative with his building. G likes to have an instruction sheet to work from, this guy just goes for it and creates. I love it! Here is one of his latest creations.

- My Q is 11. I know, I'm an awful not doing a whole post just on her, for her birthday.
We really had a weekend long celebration, going shopping, just the girls, going out to eat twice, having friends over, opening gifts, all weekend long!
She is such a beautiful girl. She is my girl. She is not only part of me as my daughter, but she is SO like me it terrifies me at times. She gives me hope for change, helps to heal my heart, she helps me love better, she helps me grow. I love her.
She is talented, and passionate, she freaks out, and gets insecure, she is fragile, but tough. She doesn't even realize how good she is, and needs reminding. She can be a very loyal friend. She helps me so much at home, with no gripes and moans. She remembers where things are in the house, she loves to decorate.
I love her laugh. I love to see her awkward as I ask her about boys. I love to see her knowledge of the gospel growing. I love that she trusts me, that I am her everything, that she needs me.
I remember being so terrified that I would ruin her as I held her in my arms, right after having her.
I am certain there is something divine in our being paired up together. We need each other, we are good for each other, we make this life journey better together. Oh yes. I love this girl.
- While my mom was here I put her creative skills to work. She drew floor plan after floor plan for me. We have a plan about a year from now to do something. Don't know if it's moving, building, or adding on. Many decisions to make. Some goals to achieve first.
I have never been so excited about this house as I was looking at adding on! It is a really good option for us. I so appreciate my mom putting vision onto paper. I can explain it, but Matt can't see what's in my head. My mom was the bridge, putting the vision on paper. She does that well. It made us think of new things, new needs, new wants. Love her for doing that.

Also this week:
- Felt some love from Megan S. She totally brought me leftovers from her Chinese New Year Part... she brought a plate to church for me!!! Hilarious, was the sight of me carrying dumplings thought our church halls. I'm sure everyone appreciated the smell! She is so thoughtful, I felt really loved! We were sad to miss this annual event. It was the same night as the derby.
- Molly dropped a Diet Coke by. I got out of the shower, went downstairs and saw a loverly fountain DC sitting on my counter. I was confused. Q said Molly had dropped it by, just because she had gotten one for her too. Now THAT is a great friend! I love her!
- Had lunch with Natalie. She is switching gears out of running into weight lifting, and is even going to compete! Very cool. We hadn't seen each other since fall, it was so good to catch up!
