Did You Know????
Did you know that I am a photographer?
I am. I love it.
Recently I posted this over on my photoblog. Even though these clothes are not on me... I styled them and put them together... and photographed them... so I'm including them here on this blog!
Part of my 'growth' this year is trying my hand, more officially, at fashion.
As I first ventured here I reached out to a local designer. My thoughts were that I'm taking fashion photos why not take them of local designs (instead of off the rack).
I found some model search, on there I found information on Steven Bales.
I reached out to him, we had a phone conversation and he is great! Totally helpful, full of info.
He has a fashion show coming up and I was interested in photographing it, not sure where how to start. He gave me info then invited me to my first model call.
I met some great people, met Steve and had a new experience!
At that time Steven left me some clothing to photograph. This excited me! Really!
The first two items I chose to work with are these denim dresses. For this shoot I didn't want anything crazy. I wanted to shoot wearable items, styled three different ways. You can get so much out of the singular items you buy... sometimes we don't realize!
I spoke with, drafted a couple of models.
Then I shopped, looked and styled 6 different looks. (This was SO fun)
I convinced Molly to come and be my assistant and we started! So glad Molly was there! She was super helpful! Plus it was loads of fun being with my bff.
We shot downtown. I love this location. There is a shop where we were shooting... J.Christian Fashion Boutique and we used a couple of things from there in our shoot (sparkle handbag and a cuff).
It was a great experience! Love the looks I created!
First up is Ashley and her three looks. I wanted her looks to be a bit more mature, maybe for hitting the town!

First up is Ashley and her three looks. I wanted her looks to be a bit more mature, maybe for hitting the town!
First look... Denim dress: Bales Clothing Co.,
I paired this first look with a sequin skirt, red heels, and a red hat
Second look... the dress is paired with a knit red skirt (actually crafted out of an old shirt), lace leggings, a wedge shoe, and plenty of pearls.
Third look... the dress is paired with some lace shorts, furry leg warmers, short boot and a cream scarf
Next up is Maddy. I wanted her looks to be more casual, for school or shopping, just hanging out.
First look: Maddie actually came in these leggings and boots. I bagged my first look and went with this. Very cute right?
Second look: sparkle cardigan, lacy socks and a heel
Third look: small wedge shoe, floral jeans, statement necklace
Special thanks to these models, they did so great!
To Molly for helping me at the shoot.
To Steven for lending me his clothes!
