Thankful for...
1) A mother who taught me how to work hard. I thought about this as I raked the leaves in our back yard today. The kids were in charge of putting them into the garbage cans. Work doesn't always have to be awful. We really enjoyed working together, and the kids found many a creature along the way!
2) Sunshine that warms my soul. It gets pretty dark and gloomy here in Buff at times. Simply seeing the sun really makes for cheery days! Today it was warm and we wore short sleeves! I love feeling the sun on my face.
3) My dishwasher. Seriously, so many hours are saved because of that precious box! It was stuffed today.
4) Finding good deals. It really makes my heart leap!
5) 'The jumper'. E spends so much time in that thing! Loooves it!
This morning I went and saw Tara C at the hospital, she had her baby. It was great to sit and visit w/ her and recall how tiny new babies are. It was strange walking in, all of these memories came to mind. It had seemed like a life ago I was there delivering a baby. Both births came flashing through my mind. I so love having babies. I never want to have to stop! Such a great thing. (Just so I don't scare my spouse... I do realize that actually 'having' more babies means we also have to raise them, that is what creates those limits!)
We worked hard this afternoon on our back yard. We have a willow tree and three maple trees. That makes for a ton of leaves! The kids and I have been working on getting them cleared up this week. Today we got the bulk of the work done.
While we worked outside M worked on pulling trim upstairs. We are replacing all the trim and doors these next couple of weeks.
The Christensen's dropped their kids off in the afternoon today. We enjoy the date night, or in today's case day swapp w/ them. Our kids get along great.
Tonight giant salads and warm apple crisp are on the agenda, along with some family TV time... AFV.
