A pretty special day...
Friday March 27th was a pretty special day.
This cute boy turned 5 years old!
BUT, not before we had yet another child on this very same day!!!!
Emerson Joseph decided to make his appearance at 12:56 am on Friday the 27th.
What a special day! He weighed 6 lbs 15.4 oz. They called it 7 even (just like his big brother).
I went into labor around 9pm and labored at home, still not quite convinced I was in labor. I became convinced around 11:45 and we headed to the hospital! We were in the car at midnight and I had E at almost 1. The nurses and doctor were so glad I gave them some time! (I was crowning upon arrival w/ O). I am too. I did have one hiccup when a nurse told me I couldn't labor standing up, but fortunately some persuasion... in the version of a sane, but stern laboring woman... and a supportive husband, convinced her it would all go much smoother if I could just do my thing. Everything went smooth and when I was ready to push we moved to the bed. My water still hadn't broke, so the dr broke it and it was clear!!! My first non-poop baby! I was thrilled! We pushed through 2 contractions and E came out! This was my first time getting to hold my slimy baby! He peed all over me and was ooy-gooy and I loved every precious minute of it!
He is my hairiest baby. Can you see how his eyebrow hair moves right into the hairline that starts in his forehead!!! You should see his back and shoulders! Can't wait to photograph it!
He is a SWEET boy! He is beautiful! He looks just like all the others! Recovery has gone very smooth and I got to come home early! I would rather be home than at the hospital! Loved having good friends and my cute family visit!
BACK to G...
This sweet little boy was born at 3:26 am.
He weighed 6 lbs, 16 oz. So, they called it 7 even.
He is a SWEET boy. He has a TENDER heart. He is a near exact replica of his father. He loves learning, and retains information. He is in love with the sky right now and many times a day he is telling me random facts about the universe, different planets and their moons, and names of stars and which constellations they belong to! He loves to play football and baseball with his dad. He will 'craft' with his sister. He likes to make O laugh. He is a picky eater, but is making strides. He is particular. He is full of faith, wants to be 'a servant of the Lord'. He is funny and likes to 'shake his booty' like they do on Madagascar 2. He likes to run speedy through the house. He is a good worker. We LOVE having him as part of our family.
He was so excited to turn 5! He told us he didn't turn 5 until he blew out his candles. So, according to him he didn't turn 5 until last night! That's when we were able to finally celebrate his day. The day he now shares with his little brother!
