Storage, funny, random and blessings
This is what I did with my road-side find.
The back is where I store my stamps!
Q was elated when I gave her her own shelf!
I love it! I had to rearrange everything to make it work and my room still hasn't fully recovered, but I love it!
Funny:
G: Mom, I finished my fruit jammers (fruit snack).
This statement itself isn't all that interesting. It was the fact that I heard it this morning at about 5am, right after G's apparent midnight snack followed by his potty break. I had just gotten up to check on him then came back to bed. I heard something and I thought it was him drinking from his water bottle. After it continued for a minute or two I went in to check again. That is when he informed me he had finished them! Okay!
Random: I called Matt yesterday and right away he told me 'we had been robbed'. At first I thought he meant our family, he is always watching our finances for fraud. I was relieved it wasn't our family, but then not so comforted when I found out it was the branch he is working in down town. It wasn't a crazy robbery, thankfully. The man was quiet about it and no one was hurt, or really knew he was doing it. I feel bad for those who were involved. Scary. I'm glad Matt wasn't put in danger and that he came home safe to me last night.
Blessing:
Before I tell this story I will show you this layout...
I have this love of jewelry and my husband, despite his general manliness which doesn't quite 'get' the love, frequently adorns me with fabulous things. Each and every one is precious to me and involves a memory of a time and place and occasion.
Well, two weeks ago during a lovely date night my ruby ring was lost. I was so upset. I called every place we had been. I looked through our van, nothing. It broke my heart, really.
Today, after grocery shopping I took the food out of my fridge to clean. I was about to put the yogurt back in and would you look at what I saw?
Can you see my ring in there? It took my breath and I started crying. In the yogurt package? I had remembered a catch while I put them in the cart, but the fact that it didn't fall off and stuck there right in the package, waiting for me to find it. Wow. With tear filled eyes I thanked my Heavenly Father for answering my prayer.
Oh, and thanks Jen for the surprise package! I love it! And, I hope you had a happy birthday!
