What inspires you?
Well, I've finished with all of my proofing. I'm officially done for a while. Here is one from the reunion that I shot a couple of weeks ago. The family that I know (well, sort of) lost a son to something (that's how well I know!) and they let off some balloons to remember him. The balloon photos ended up being my favorites. Here is a look.
I received payment for my two layouts published here. One of the layouts is of Matt and I. We felt pretty famous looking at our faces in a magazine! That is the last of my publications. I'm not waiting for anymore to come out. I still, however, have not seen what my clock looks like in the Paper Art magazine. Oh well. At the rate I'm scrapping I may never have another publication again. Something has got to give and right now it is scrapping and submitting. You know what? I'm okay with that.
I've been looking at quotes, deciding what to write/vinyl on my walls. Here are some things I've found that have inspired me. It's nice to hear good words and you just feel it when they apply to you, are said with potency, it hits you.
What counts most is finding new ways to get the world down in paint on my own terms.
::: Georg Baselitz :::
I will love the light for it shows me the way, yet I will endure the darkness because it shows me the stars.
::: Og Mandino :::
Creativity requires the courage to let go of certainties.
::: Erich Fromm :::
The merit of originality is not novelty; it is sincerity.
::: Thomas Carlyle :::
And lastly, the one quote I know I will put on my wall...
I don't want to be understandable, I want to be felt.
::: Martha Graham :::
