Painting and the final countdown
Well, I have been painting... and painting... and painting!
For the first time I have put up a color and haven't liked it. In the living room we have these olive green couches with a color on color pattern. It has been the hardest color to match. I initially wanted to go monochromatic in that room, but since I can't find the right color, have changed my plan. I painted Monday and the color was too blue. Didn't work. I went and got another color yesterday and painted. Yea! It works! It is perfect, soft.
I also painted our upstairs bathroom yesterday. Navy. Someday in the near future, when we remodel that room, I'd like to have wainscoting on the bottom half. Right now it is all tile. Anyhoo. Things are coming along on the home front.
We fly out to UT a week from today. Crazy.
I found another quote that I needed to hear yesterday.
Elizabeth Kubler-Ross
People are like stained glass windows: they sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light within.
