Matt has this promotional thing from Yahoo and has been downloading a ton of music. After our painting day last week, in which we turned on the TV and listened to the 90's channel, he's been downloading Tiffany, Debbie Gibson, Mariah Carey (old stuff), Bobby Brown, and such. It has taken me back! It is so curious the things that awaken certain memories.
We had such a great weekend.
I did go to Dance Project's concert and must say I was impressed. I met the owner afterwards and we set a time to meet and talk. I think teaching will be good for me.
Matt and I attended the Palmyra Temple on Saturday morning. I love how the world melts away as soon as you enter the quiet, reverent atmosphere there. It truly is a heaven on earth. It replenishes and enlivens my spirit, it helps me keep my life in perspective, and this time in particular, I was reminded of the first time I attended the temple. As I stood with Matt on Saturday I was reminded of our new love. I was reminded of a feeling, having him there with me on my first journey through. I love being reminded of the magnitude of my love for my companion, my best friend, my everything. I am immensely blessed.
Saturday night Matt and I got to go on a date! It seriously was such a good day! I got to spend SO MUCH time with just my husband! We went out to eat at Tony Romas on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. We walked right in, our food was delicious, it was fabulous! We walked around and down to the falls. We rode a little tram back up to the hotel. It was good times.
Yesterday, hmm, the singing at church thing didn't go as well as I hoped it would. I get so emotional listening to music. It is powerful stuff! So, when I listen to the words I am singing I often loose control of my voice and that's what happened yesterday! People were nice and said it sounded good, but what I heard isn't what I think is good, so, no, I'm not pleased!
The BBQ yesterday did go well. It was wonderful visiting with friends from church.
Today I need to get my circle journal going. Some of the gals from LUV2 are doing a circle journal. I need to get mine going and mailed out. I need to run some errands too.
Good day to anyone that is reading!
