Happy Memorial Day

It has been a good weekend.

We went camping Friday night... in a trailer park! It was odd, but just right! I'm used to mountain camping so camping where people leave their trailer for the year is just... different! It was good to be around a campfire, outside, with friends and family.

The kids LOVED it! What kid doesn't love the fact that they can get dirty without any thought by their mother? We bought them their own sleeping bags that have a sleeve for their own air mattress. They thought it was cool and we did too.

We saw a swan. We went to a state park on Saturday, on the lake. A beautiful swan, all by itself, guarding it's territory from the geese.

We played Frisbee. Love tossing that around. Matt made up a game. We were all winded!

It is so nice coming home from a camping trip, washing everything, especially dirty bodies, being clean! It's so much more appreciated when you don't have the opportunity.

Today we have been working on our house. We have been painting the family room all day. Love the color. Can't wait to have those ugly brown beams a crisp white. It is looking good. I've also started stripping wallpaper in the upstairs bathroom.

The home improvements keep right on going!

We went to feed the ducks tonight. They are gone, only geese remain. They have babies and are so protective. We saw a lone crane on the little pond. Beautiful. We are scoring with the bird sightings!

This should be a good week. The weather is blazing! It is nice. I may sit out in the sun!

Hopefully this week I'll be able to get back to my 'memories from a jar' journaling as well as some scrapping. I did make a game for my kiddies last night. I've been meaning to do them for such a long time. I want to get a few done each week.
