Jigglers!
Man, sometimes you don't know how badly you need to get out of the house until you finally do it!
We went to play at a friend' s house today. It was so great to get out! We need to keep doing this. We haven't had play group for the past few weeks. I really miss it! I need my mid-week, visit with friends, time! I feel like a recluse!
I have started keeping my old camera in my purse. I'm glad. Then I can capture little memories like this... Jello Jigglers! The kids loved making shapes in the jello. Q also liked to eat it! G, not so much! We never eat jello! It creeps me out! We may have to get little jello cups for Q though. It was a hit with her!
Q randomly talks about Halloween here and there! It was a great night for her! Last night she told me next time we have Halloween she wants to be Ursula, from Little Mermaid. Leave it to my daughter to want to be the villain, not the princess! I keep telling her I want to be Cinderella... we'll see if it works. I'm thinking no since Matt is on the villain train too! He told Q he wants to be Captian Hook! I may have to concede and be some wicked witch! The good thing is I'm sure she'll change her mind about a million more times! I'll keep with that Cinderella bit!
Little G is now praying and singing. There are few things sweeter than hearing a new little voice giving thanks to God. It's heavenly. He is at a great age that is completely cute. He is talking so much. I love hearing him converse with Q. He is such a good sport. Tonight in the tub she asked me if she could comb Bubba's hair. I said to ask him. She did. He said yes! He sat there for 5-7 minutes, no lie, while Q combed his hair! Then he started playing around and she was frustrated that he wouldn't hold still. (Me chiming in here, see it's hard to do hair when you don't hold still... do you think she heard?) He's getting better about holding his ground with her, when it's important to him. He still steps aside and lets her go down the slide first... four times!
I submitted another creation today and got an email today that they want it. It's for a magazine called Correspondence Art. It's a newer mag and they don't pay anything, but hey, I'm getting something else published! Now, if I could just get a blasted layout published....
This would be another intention of mine this year. I want to submit a bunch. If I want to get out there I've at least gotta try right! It takes time to do it, but not much else.
