The little things

These came yesterday.

I still haven't looked through them; I'm waiting until I can savor them! I love magazines! I did take a sneak peek into CK to find this...
Now, I'm usually not a name dropper, mostly because I don't know too many 'cool' people. But, I'm totally doing it here! I know Beth Opel. She is a CK Hall of Famer this year. Those of you that scrapbook can appreciate how 'famous' she is and how cool I am because I know her!!! Am I pathetic or what? She did this project for Marvy... all of the layouts in this little booklet are hers. Yes, now I feel cool. It was in this month's CK. Beth has a fabulous sister named Susan, who I'm sure will follow in her sister's shoes shortly, she's my good pal. They are total diva-liscious and I'm glad to know them!!!

We watched "Million Dollar Baby" Sunday night. It was a great show. We started "Mona Lisa Smiles" last night. I like it so far. I am soooo far behind in the movie world.

Today we had a little trauma in the household. I went upstairs to my crying boy, not unusual when he plays with his sister, to find his hair covered and lathered in hand soap with little anti-biotic bubbles in it. It was dripping down into his eyes, thus the crying, and I think he got some in his mouth. The source... his naughty older sister who was sitting in her room with the weapon of choice. She was pumping it into her hands just playing! I know she didn't do it to hurt her brother; he is just what sits still long enough to appease her. I also know she didn't do it to make me mad, yet... she just wanted to play... with something she knows she shouldn't play with. She felt bad after her screaming brother settled down, and said she was sorry. Man, it is too hard to hold this temper of mine sometimes. Does it ever get easier?

Later this morning I told the kids we could go outside to do chalk. They both usually come running. #2 didn't come running. I went upstairs to find this...

Little Bubba had fallen asleep on his sister's bed. Awwwe cute! So, little Q and I went outside to play with the chalk. She has a meticulous way of coloring, with any tool. She'll use one color then line up what she has already used. Hmmm, particular, maybe she did get something from me!
