Beautiful Birds... And Florida Landscape
Of course I love taking pictures of my family, but when we went to the Alligator Park in St. Augustine, FL, I got to have a little 'me' time with my camera!
There is a wading bird rookery there at the park.
There were almost as many photographers as there were birds! Kidding.
The birds were endless, it was amazing!
The kids all went ahead with the other parents and I took some time to photograph birds.
I only had my portrait lens, I didn't even know about this place!
Here are a few shots...
I love the feathers on this duck. I want a skirt with this pattern on it.
It is beautiful!
This bird looks like she's sporting a tu-tu. I have another shot where she is craning her neck.
Amazing...
When it's sunny outside these Grackles look black. I was happy when this guy turned around so I could get a shot of his back, those beautiful feathers. Love.
I have several shots of these Spanish Moss trees. They can look spooky, but also look soft and fluffy.
There were a ton of these on St. Amelia Island, where we stayed.
One last shot of the humid air over the green grasses, near the land-bound lighthouse.
