Buffalo Area Photographer: Newborn Shoot

It was such a pleasure to meet this great couple! 

They are friends of our dear friends the Preece's.  Ad worked with Souk.

I packed up all of my goods and headed to their home last week. 

I was immediately smitten by their home, the wonderful light in the front sun room and some very traditional Indian pieces they had in there, this would be fun!  I love to pull things from people's homes to work with, adds their own personality to the photos right? 

After meeting momma and baby, looking through colors and patterns, we got started and I went right to this crazy-cool swing.  This is one of my favorite shots...

This little peanut was awake for much of our shoot! Here are some shots of her wide awake!

Then, after some food I got to hold this sweet baby girl and put her to sleep. Once you finally get them there the fun starts! I set up several shots and we tucked her in all sorts of places!  As we were shooting I was dubbed 'the baby whisperer'!!!  Loved that!  Never been called it before!  I made this hair piece a while ago, it was PERFECT for this shot.  I loved this ottoman of theirs, I'll have to try to find one like it for myself!

Mom is a ballerina, so we tried to get a 'baby cakes' shot, but little A woke up.  Bummer!  We shifted around and still got some tu-tu shots.

I'm sure I overstayed my welcome, but I had such a wonderful time!  Thank you Sonalee and Souk for letting me into your home to welcome your new little lady!
