This Floral Dress Needs a Blazer... Sunday Linkup

I have a couple week's worth of Sunday looks here. I haven't been posting regularly on Sunday... or any day, I guess! Bear with me, I hope to have this all regulated at some point in my life!
Today I wanted to show you not only what I'm wearing, but tell you why I made some of the choices I made. There is some logic behind my choices, at times!
I love the lightweight, flowy feel of this dress. It looks best, on me, belted and with a jacket over it.
You can see in this first photo that the dress doesn't have much shape. Even though it has an elastic waist, it doesn't provide enough of a break to emphasize my waistline so I just look boxy if I don't add a belt.
You can see that that the lines on the blazers draw the eye inward creating a faux hour glass shape.
It creates shape out of this boxy dress.
I wore it last year like this...
This year I chose this satin blazer with a brown shoe. Good both ways!
Do you like that my shoes are undone? I didn't feel like doing them up again after I'd taken them off! You get the gist!

Sometimes I feel so boring if I just pull a dress out of my closet and wear it! :)
I felt so boring in this dress! It's a dress, nothing to it!
I paired it with my yellow shoes for a little excitment!
I got many compliments on it, it is a pretty dress! That reassured me that easy dressing is good dressing too!
This dress is good for my shape because it has a waistline.
I am small up top and if there is no waistline I look shapeless!
Also going for me are all of the ruffles! Again I am up top so the ruffles add volume and additional shape up top, so my waist looks even smaller! Bonus!

I got the dress last year at BJ's, the shoes and necklace at Burlington, made the bracelet.
What I wore Sunday is well, what I wore on Sunday, to church! It's my day to dress up a little more than I normally do... and I love it!
