Festive Gallery Wall, Sparkle Frame, Festive Candles

Brace yourself!  There is a whole bunch of creative coming at you right about now!

I have this gallery wall right as you walk in my front door.
I like to add little festivities there as the months go by.
Recently I was pondering what to do with the many, many picture frames that are sitting in closets and bins throughout my house.  They are just sitting there, no role to fill, no one ever seeing them!

I have decided to spray paint several of them and rotate them here as the year goes on.
This week I sprayed a few frames green.  I'm putting them up now for St. Patty's, but will keep them up through spring.  Here is a little look.

You saw the red ones I had up in February right?  I'll bring those back for July, for example.

This frame here on the bottom recently fell and broke.  I replaced the glass, but it has to lean against something to be used.  This is now the perfect home for it!

As I was putting away the red frames I was inspired by the sparkly one.  I decided I needed to have a sparkly frame!  I grabbed this one from the bin.  The inset is the perfect place for sparkles don't you think?
I taped the edges of the frame...
then gave it a quick sanding...

After I wiped the excess dust off I painted on some +Mod Podge Rocks.
Brush with care!  You don't want to go too thin so it dries before you get all of it on there.  I'd error on the side of too much, then brush it back into the bottle.
I chose to do the whole frame as opposed to glue and glitter one side, then glue and glitter the other... then you have uneven strokes and glitter in your glue...

I used this WOW glitter.  I got a whole pack of colors at Tuesday Morning for maybe $3.
This stuff rocks!  So fine, so sparkly, so pretty!

I tried to sprinkle and move it around, but it's so fine I ended up sprinkling all over the glue, covering the whole frame, then shaking off the little bits of extra... not much.

After the Mod Podge dried I went over the top, to protect those sparkles!
I love sparkles, but hate when I touch something and can't get the sparkles off!

I poured some glue out then spread it over the frame.
I didn't want to pull any sparkles up.
It's like frosting a cake.  Put a blob on and smooth it out from the top so you don't pull the whole top layer off the cake!

I continued pushing the glue around until the whole frame was covered.  I only had a little extra which I wiped off onto a paper towel from my brush.

And there it is at the top of my gallery wall!
Q has told me she wants some of these for her room!

Here is the last frame that I painted.  I like how you can see a hint of the black embossed swirls.  It works with the dark green.

This photo brings me to my next festive decor idea.
Can you see it?

I also have many candles that sit in my storage room, unused, unloved.
I brought some of them out and wrapped the bottoms of them with washi tape, scrapbooking tape, paper and some felt scrap supply.  They are easily removable so you could change them up if you wanted.
Since I have too many candles, I'll just leave them decorated.

Is that enough to make your eyes pop out of your head?  Let's review!
1-  gallery wall with different color frames
2- spray painting unused frames and changing them out with the season
3- sparkle frame
4- candle decor using unused candles.

Now maybe I can leave this part of my house alone for a month or two!!!
