Recently...

- E was sick over the weekend, throwing up all night.  Felt a little bit like I had a newborn baby, with the getting up, not sleeping, comforting... Matt likes to remind me of that in hopes that it will cure my desire for on more kid! :)  Doesn't work!  E was a trooper, and thus far no one else has gotten sick... hope that sticks!

- I spent many dollars on cute paper and scrapbooking supplies, even though I don't scrap.  I do have every intention to pick it up again... if I could just get to the top of my desk... which is covered again, this time with jewelry.

- I've been making jewelry.  This is a great thing!  Now I can finish the necklace my friend Sue gave me to fix... um a year ago!  Has it been longer?  Quite possibly!

- I've been indulging in The Vampire Diaries... oh yes, I do enjoy this show!

- I finally got all of my stuff put away!  It took me a week to clean up my crafty fair!  I'll show you pictures of that tomorrow!

- Q had her orchestra concert last night.  You want to know what makes me all anxious, and sometimes brings out the angry thoughts in me?  A poorly organized event... that is well attended... too well attended!

I don't enjoy waiting and watching while the one teacher re-organizes the stage.  I don't enjoy that even though I was 30 minutes early I was still in the back, with kids on the floor.  Can we get some ushers to get people to squeeze to the middle?  Can we please split this into two nights? 

You know what else I don't enjoy?  Listneing to terrible music, that isn't my own kids!!!  Q isn't the greatest at the violin right now, but of course I don't mind listening to her, she's my kid!  I'm super proud!

I would love to watch your older kids if they were good, but really, we're not there yet!  Please don't make me sit through your kids' performances too!  Am I aweful... go ahead and say it!

I do have a great appreciation for music.  Hearing the blur of 40 different violinist makes you appreciate not only the great individuality of a musician, but how an orchestra of them can sound just like one.  It's beautiful and amazing.  The 5th grade... not there yet!

I'm proud of my girl!  I took violin when I was little.  I hope she will stick with it... the words of any parent who wasn't pushed to finish whatever musical instrument they started!

- Got a package from my mom, her Christmas gift to us... love her, how thoughtful and creative she is every year.  Love that I didn't even notice she used my maiden name... this happens often!  Matt noticed though... silly us!
