Swim Style...
One week from today I will be escaping to paradise!
I've been watching and preparing for the wedding I shot this past weekend. Now that it's over I feel I can finally look toward this!
We are heading to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic next week. No kids, just the hubs and I. We are meeting my sis and her hubs there. This is our 15 year anniversary celebration, and their 20 year.
I thought this would be a fun time to talk swimwear!
I have this strange addiction to swimsuits! I have quite the collection! It's great to have multiple suits, you rotate enough that they stay nice longer!
Like my clothing I enjoy mixing it up, wearing new combinations, and styling my suits! It can make your plain old swimwear new with each wear!
Let's take a look, first at the 2 new suits I bought this year...
One thing I don't own is a polka dot swimsuit... at least I didn't. Now I do! And, we know my need for all things mint this year!
How do you do swimwear? Do you mix it up?
I'm sure you do notice all of these are tankini's. I think I'm the last woman on earth that wears them... I believe in modesty. It certainly has nothing to do with what my body looks like... or doesn't look like... and everything with what I believe, promises I've made in the temple of the Lord.
It's funny how insecurity works isn't it?
I'd never wear anything less than this to catch they eye of any other man, I don't need, nor want that. I have thought much about wearing less than this to prove to other women that I look good. Isn't that strange? Why would other women care? We do though, we judge, we compete.
Those other women that look amazing, that do turn heads, maybe even my man's head, that is what I feel I need to compete with... and so I've considered...
Then I remember the promises I've made, who I am, what is important to me. What other people feel comfortable in has nothing to do with me and what I feel comfortable in, nor do I need to feel insecure because other people look good. That doesn't make me not look good. I do that to myself way too often! And besides, focusing on 'body' takes away from all the fun that's to be had!
So, yea for fabulous swimwear, and all of it's variety... and more importantly, yea for wearing it to the DR next week! :)

Here is a look at some of my other suits...
Top left may be on it's way out. I don't like that the white isn't white anymore, but the bottoms go w/ so many other tops I have. Bottom left is a little too small for me at this point in the year :). Bottom right is a VS suit and I must say it is quality! It has held up for a bunch of years and still looks like new. Top right I usually separate out...
I bought this top last year, just the navy/white top. I didn't buy the bottoms, because look at all of these I already have! Isn't that much more exciting than predictable navy bottoms?
I've had this brown top for a long time. Again, many choices for the bottoms.
I of course have black, which could go with anything. These are some bottoms I bought w/o the matching top. Here are some other options...
I got this top for this trip. Yes, I already have a pink top, different cut, and this one is a little brighter.
Looks like I can wear a different suit every single day... and might have to stay longer so I can wear all of my options! :)
