Belts Make the World a Better Place!

Well, not really, but they have sure brought to life some 'old' clothes that I've not worn for a while.  They just needed something.  Well, that something could often be a belt!
They were out for a while, but not anymore!  Grab your belts from the 80's and give them a try again!  It just may be that something your 'old' might need to become 'new' again!
I've been very into the belt as of late!!! 

I bought this little dress last year, but just couldn't make it work, to my liking, even with the cardi!  It did come with that little piece of fabric - sorry excuse for a belt- but it didn't do it!  Tried the belt, magic!  Whala!

Must note this super fun necklace!  Must make more of these!  Watch for that tutorial!

This dress is several years old!  I feel bad for my clothes when they don't get any air time!  BUT, it's cute!  I can't get rid of it!  This one is bordering on too big and really looks silly just on it's own.   Nothing broke it or made it stand out.

 

This organza flower belt is the revival this dress was in need of!  New life!  Love it!  And of course the perfect shoe doesn't hurt!  Love these sassy ladies!  Got them for my birthday last year.

This little shirt dress was bordering on needing more of a statement.  It has a strand of leather for the belt.  But when I added the jacket, because it's getting cold, I liked it.

 

Now, I got this belt a few years ago and it's not had much air time!  I'm recommitted there!  Took it out for a spin this week, with this 'vintage' sweater vest.  Love how we use 'vintage'!  I actually spotted it at the salvation army of all places!  I was in looking for kitchen items to re purpose.  It jumped off the rack and begged me to take it home.  For $2, I reclaimed it as my own!

Had a hard time deciding which shoe to pair with this getup.  Went with the riding boot. 

 

Now go, dig up your belts, dust them off, and wrap your lovely waists in them!  See if you can't revive some 'oldies' with a new belt!
