Going Back... to Easter

I'm going back because I keep telling myself I'll scrapbook this stuff, I don't need to blog it. Seeing as how I've completed a whole 10 pages or so in the past year, I'm gonna say that MAY not happen! So, I'm going backwards, but if I blog it I'll have it recorded!

We celebrated Easter on Saturday with our good friends the C's. S had to fly out for work on Sunday so we celebrated with them, our 'family' a day early. We had, and have been having so much rain, we were all so happy it wasn't raining that day, so we played outside just about the whole time! I had dinner ready when they came, but we snacked for a while and played outside. I just popped that ham and potatoes back in to warm and enjoyed the weather! M & C went back to their house to get a file for M's new kindle (birthday gift). S brought back hockey sticks for G. He was beyond thrilled, he's been very into hockey lately.

We sent all of the kids, and dad's in while Mol and I hid the eggs. We let the little boys out early and let them hunt. The big kids were revving to go and hit the ground sprinting. Funny the little boys found more money eggs than my big kids. They were happy to trade for candy!

We stayed outside and played hockey, the girls busted out the chalks and dolls. So cute, they made a little poolside scene for them! Loved that!

As it started cooling down we headed in for our dinner. It was great! We hung out and laughed while the kids played. It was a good 4-5 hours of fun! We love the C's. So glad we have them to be with, celebrate holiday's with, vacation with, rely on, they are fabulous.

Sunday morning the kids ran down and found gifts from both the Easter bunny (a basket) and us (the bigger gifts). There are no photos of this because my sweet husband let me sleep in and by the time I got downstairs it had all been done! Q got a pillow pet and a new camera. G got a remote control car and this voice changer toy. O got a bat and ball and something else! E got a puzzle and something else. If I remember I'll come back and put that in!!! I don't buy many toys for the kids through the year, so I'm happy for an excuse to buy them stuff! They were pretty thrilled.

We didn't get to dying eggs this year. Too much I guess. About a week later I boiled eggs and we got to it! Glad the kids wouldn't let it go! They had fun. E kept taking all of the eggs the big kids were working on! I guess next year we need to spread them out a bit.
