Tis the season...
To be thankful that is.
I am going to try this again this year. I think I did pretty good last year at making it a priority.
Since I'm behind a couple of days I'll do 20 things I'm thankful for.
-Play dates. It is a great distraction for my kids. Sometimes people feel bad to have their kids come over when M is out of town, but really it is a help!
-Good neighbors. It started as a favor, but now the Congniet's come over the nights M is gone and I have dance. They are great!
-Drugs. It gives me relief to know that there will be something there to help me when I assuredly lose my mind. I am so forgetful now, I can't image how bad it will be as I contine to age. I have turned this house upside down trying to find the vacuum attachments. The little boys like to pull them out and use them as swords when I vacuum. I couldn't figure out where they had stashed them. Seriously I have been wanting to vacuum, looking for about a week! Then, as I found them, I rememebered I had put them in a special place so the boys wouldn't get to them. It was a pretty special place, it took ME a week to find them!
-New, successful recipes. Pumpkin cookies from Martha, great start for the season.
-Happy clients.
-Compliments for a job well done.
-For Molly checking in on me, knowing it will be a long week!
-Calls from M. Even when I can't get to the phone, or know we can't talk. Knowing it's him when the phone is ringing makes me happy.
-Having a room for all of my 'stuff'.
-A good long conversation w/ my mom.
-A phone call from Marci, still need to call her back.
-Halloween candy
-America's Next Top Model
-Time to go shopping
-Finishing the end of a month with money to spare
-A run in the brisk air
-My treadmill
-Flannel sheets
-A night w/o getting up. I've only had one of those for weeks! I'm due for another!
-That G didn't end up getting sick. The boys and Q have had temps this past week.
