Moments from Utah
Talent. D is the only one who has continued to play the violin. We all took lessons, but he has the gift for it. I love that instrument, such a sweet, sharp sound.
I love these girls! I spent 2 nights w/ K&W. Loved hanging out. W and I haven't spent much time together since I've never been in UT since the marriage of she and K. It was great laughing and chatting w/ her! She is so great. We are great friends, even though we never spend time together. Call me BACK W! The three of us laughed trying to be Charlie's Angels! Pretty funny times!
My sis and I. I spent no time at her house since she was on her way out to see me the day after I left UT. She is pretty fabulous, gifted in many ways. And, on a totally different note, do I always look like this? Ew! I need a tan, a hairdo (or maybe a shower would've helped!) and apparently some sleep!
The service was nice. LOVED the bagpipes that were played. Everyone did such a great job expressing love to Michelle and remembering the good we all saw in Eric. He sure was a trixter!
Mom wanted family photos, D had already left. I came in late and was unsure of where to stand, so I parked it in the middle w/ my cheerleader pose, and was quick to accommodate when Michelle said ... do the splits! Completely inappropriate? Of course, that's how I roll! Look at those laughs though, even Michelle couldn't keep it in! I was nervous after because there were a few onlookers that would've been shocked had they seen my 'goodness'. Fortunately nothing showed! BTW the boots are why my back leg isn't completely straight! I can't point in boots!
Wednesday evening we spent time as sisters. We shopped a bit and went to dinner. It was great!
MOM, OPEN YOUR EYES!!! The funniest part of this are the series of photos leading up... she could not open her eyes! And the one right after this, same thing! Hilarious!
I spent the night at mom's before traveling home. Spent some time w/ K. She is so lovely. I love her laugh. I watched cute C play the piano w/ grandma and felt a little twinge of covet. I would love for my kids to have these moments. It's a bit of a bummer, but, the life we choose. They know she loves them.
It was a few days squished up with lots of love. I loved my visit. I love those great people I call my family.
