A glimpse of last week
Monday:
Marci and I chatted in the morning and decided we needed some shopping time together! We called Rachel M. and left her with the 4 oldest kiddies. We spent some quality time laughing and shopping with our three babies, in between snacks and crying of course! I got this little ditty...
I quite enjoy it.
We stopped and grabbed lunch for the kids on the way home and had a lunch together. It was good times.
Tuesday:
We went VTing with Molly and her kids. It was a beautiful morning, the kids all played outside.
I took a dance class that night. It felt good to dance, and see gals from the studio, and get a little different flavor. I did anticipate a modern class, so I was a little disappointed, but it was still great.
Matt went and played ball at the church.
Wednesday:
Got ready for the day and went to Marci's to make beautiful jam. Again, a little extra craziness with crying babies and such, O was in dire need of a nap. It was good times though and I love my jam!
Thanks to Marci for sharing her domestic skills and making me try something new!
Although O was melting down I thought we'd try to grab Matt and go to lunch. O did just fine, all it took was seeing his dad!!! We enjoy seeing dad during the day, and being in his territory. Nothing too fancy... good 'ol Wendy's. We were in and out of there in a jiff and O fell asleep on the way home.
We cuddled up on the couch for Shrek the Third that night. It was M's first time seeing it. He got a good chuckle out of it. His fav part was the cheerleaders... so much that we kept replaying it until we memorized the cheer... 'Wherefore art thou headed, to the top? Yea we think so, we think so...'
I also did some reading up on poison ivy/oak that night. Yep, it's apparent I have it! Funny, I noticed it the previous Friday or Saturday, but thought it was a bug bite... before it spread and is now all over my forearms and lower leg, lovely.
Thursday:
Went outside to verify that this...
is poison ivy, it sure is and it's all over our back bed. I tromped through that stuff pulling it out. How have we not had bouts with this prior to now? M always mows that all down, easy way to get rid of what we haven't been ready to tame! It is sort of pretty, but it's all coming out! Goodbye evil plant!
G had a little friend over to play. He and Simon are such great friends. He was in heaven! You know there is happiness when at the end of the playdate both faces are bright red and little heads are sweaty and stinky! Success! Q was a little bummed that I wouldn't let her join the fun or, try to direct all the fun. She was quickly calmed though when we started making bows.
This is what my desk has looked like for the last week or two. I have been up to my ears in ribbon! It has been great. Both the kids ask to make bows too. We've been having fun creating.
M finally got some steroids for his lip issue.
I went to Tammy's house for an informative evening on dehydrating. This woman is amazing. She recently joined the church and fits right in! She has all of us outdone on ways to use and store fresh food. It was very informative and very cool. She has a love for this stuff... as well as a website check it out.
Friday:
It seems it rained that day. We were planning on going to Palmyra for the Hill Cumorah Pageant, we go every year. It was a no-go with all of the rain. I think I made bows and cleaned the house.
Since we didn't go Matt went and enjoyed some manly time playing cards with work friends. He enjoys himself and usually comes home with extra cash!!!
Saturday:
I've been running each morning and went a bit longer Saturday. I also stopped to visit this cute little old lady down my street. She said she's been watching for me, but hasn't seen me (she's been watching for the stroller). Since it's summer I'm out early w/o the stroller, but may be back to the jog stroller days in the fall. She lives alone and says her house gets bigger everyday. So sad. I'm happy to have a chat with her. I love old people!
Saturday is a day of work, and we worked it. I cleaned and vacuumed the inside and M worked outside. He cleaned out our garage, threw stuff away, organized. It looks spiffy!
We went out Saturday night. My man started me out with some daisies picked from our front yard, awe! We went to Lowe's and planned/picked out all our goodies for the upstairs bathroom. We hope to start on that soon. We went to dinner after that then out for ice cream. Since Molly was flying solo we figured we'd get back right on time! We sat and visited for a while then came home and hit the sheets. It was a fab night. Love being out with my man.
