October
I haven't been much of a blogger this month have I?
I can't believe how fast this month is going. I still don't have Halloween costumes! What?
Here are some bits of our October to remember.
Heading to the Great Pumpkin Patch to pick pumpkins and other festive fall items to decorate with.
Decorating the bitty pumpkins with glitter. The kids wanted to do a 'glitter project' SO BAD!!!
Playing with Q. Who wants to do anything when you're sick? Not me! I sat in my room and did jewelry and Q played with my hair, then did my makeup, a bit of an improvement from my previous look!!! (As you can see I'm kidding! I'm not looking too hot!) She enjoyed herself. I did too actually.
We finally got our granite installed! We are looking forward to getting our backsplash and floor done. Having our kitchen done feels and looks so good. I can't wait to finish the project. We are so in love with all of it! What a treat for us!
Color! This fall has been soooo beautiful here in NY. The weather has changed slow, so the leaves have had the opportunity to change, and stay on the trees!!! I love driving. Everything is so vibrant and colorful. We have this tree outside on the side of our house. It turns bright red. I love coming down the stairs and seeing the red tree outside, framed by my purple drapes. It is small, and makes me happy.
Haircuts. A couple of weeks ago Q asked me first thing if I'd curl her hair. Of course! There is a girl in her class that has curly hair and Q wanted curls. Soon after she came home and mentioned her good friend, with really long hair, cut it really short. And, she wanted her hair short. I waited it out for about a week. I thought it would pass. It didn't. So, Saturday we did hair cuts. G got one too. Q looks so cute w/ short hair. It really doesn't matter to me. I think she partly wants it short so I don't have to 'do' it anymore. We've had a couple of conversations about this! To her disappointment having short hair doesn't get her out of taking care of it! She was loving her bows and different hair do's. What is with this change? All I can say is I have invested far too much time and effort making dang cute bows for this child! She will wear them still!!!
Since the weather has been warm the kids have enjoyed being out and riding their bikes. They have also enjoyed raking leaves. This weekend they were a huge help to dad. They kept filling up their garbage can before he could fill his! Love working as family!
I have also done two photo shoots this month. I am still editing one, but check here for the first one. I have got yet another this week.
I have had so much going through my mind as of late. There are many things I want to remember. I need to get them down, either here or in my journal. Every now and then I get this urge to just write!
