Photography
I finished editing photos from my shoot a couple of weeks ago.
Check here for a taste.
I had a shoot on Thursday at Beaver Island. I enjoyed being in the sand. Poor Jeremy hated it I'm sure, since he kept stepping in the seagull poop!
I also had a baby shoot on Saturday. Love new little ones!
I have much work ahead, but I sure have a great time taking photos, then looking through them for 'moments'. It is a great artistic outlet for me.
Speaking of outlets, dance starts this week. I'm quiet excited. Did you know that the dancer on the cover of this Ricks College catalog is me? That photo was taken my second year there during a show. It managed to find it's way to Europe where we toured that year (in papers and on flyer's), and later onto the cover of this catalog.
I was going through old dance papers and stuff, that is where I found this little reminder. Anyway, I read through a paper that I wrote about how I started and why I dance. "Dance for me became a necessity. It gave me stability in my world of chaos. In it's structure I found safety, and in it's freedom I found peace. I felt for the first time a need for this in my life."
That resonated for me again when I read it... safety in structure and peace in freedom. I love it! I'm so glad it is in my life. I just hope my energy will hold out this year!!!
