So much to say...
Sometimes I just feel there isn't enough time in the day!
I have so much to catch up on!
This week has been so busy, a good thing so time passes quickly. I fall into bed each night exhausted, again a good thing. I usually sleep so bad when M is gone.
Q did so great on Monday. I'm mostly proud that she overcame her anxiety, or stubbborness, whichever one made her say she was never going to dance on the stage! She prepared, and knew her stuff and went out there with confidence. She wasn't nervous at all and when I asked her if she wanted me to go backstage or watch her from the audience she said to me... "mom I don't need you, you can just do whatever you would like"... um, okay. I was a little shocked at her independence, but very happy that she was seeking it. Tara C and Kira came to watch and brought Q a little gift. That sure made her feel special, so did the flower that I gave her. It was a fun thing. I took the kids out to eat after. It was a 'special evening'.
Sure wish people could not be atarded taking pictures! This one would've been really cute!
Yesterday we went to a friends house to play in the morning. We had a good time and I got to know a new friend named Marci. She seems like a great gal. We shopped at Target and while paying, brightened a little old lady's day. She stopped and admired my kiddies. O gave her some grins and she was delighted. This same lady was with three other old ladies that despite their old age were spitfires... at least the one who backed into my car then proceeded to yell at me! Little old lady yelling 'what the hell are you doing' in the Target parking lot! Priceless! Of course I saw her backing into me, but couldn't find my horn or change gears. I could only sit there frozen waiting! Hate that! Fortunately no damage was done, at least this time! She had quite the ding in her bumper from what I assume was a previous incident! They are so cute at that age!
Damita came and slept over last night. We had a great time. She brought us yummy Panera Bread for dinner and after I put the kids down we watched '27 Dresses', I'm pretty behind on movie viewing! I thought it was cute. It was fun to have some girl time! She is great!
I talked to Lenni this morning. I tell you we barely have time to breathe when we talk to each other. So much to say! Love that! Today we also hit the pool. It was nice and hot, although you couldn't tell so much due to the crazy wind that was blowing out of control! What is with this weather?
This finally came out! That means I can finally show this...
I haven't submitted my scrap pages for a long time. This was the last publication to pick up one of my layouts. I can't wait to get it! That beautiful gal is my sister, my friend. The journaling reads: Time has changed who we are. Time has changed how we love. Time will move on and the evolution will continue. The strand of continuity, the unchanging connection is sisterhood. How blessed I am to have you, someone that shares my DNA, my past, my family, my soul. You are branded into my heart, you are one of my very best friends. I love you my sister.
And, a couple of photos...
O a couple of weeks ago
This little baby bird was hanging out on our deck last week. He didn't move while I was out there so I went and grabbed my camera. His mom even came to feed him right there! It was pretty cool for the kids to watch them up close.
