30 isn't so bad

Yesterday was my 30th birthday.
It was a great day.
I felt so loved all day long!

I got a special gift this year. While my mom was out, which I'll share more about later, she gave me this...

It's her one and only diamond. After she lost her wedding diamond my dad bought her this diamond, which was on a necklace. He gave it to her for Christmas and hung it in their Christmas tree. She had a hard time finding it among the tinsel, but was eventually successful! She later had it made into this ring. She gave it to me this year for my birthday. I LOVE it! I will always wear it and treasure it. If you know me, you know that I love jewels and jewelery. I feel honored to have it and will pass it on to my kids when the time is right. Thanks mom.

Here are some other photos from yesterday
I got a special delivery from the Opel's.

Love these flowers from Kari

Molly left these on my door along with the same cup filled with candy that I gave her for her birthday.

I got to talk to Jen on the phone. It was a happy conversation with birthday and baby wishes.

I talked to Lynette on the phone Wednesday and she sent me wishes then.

I got emails from family.

We went to eat as a family and I didn't even feel that sick!!!

Matt had planned on getting me a special fitting along with running shoes for my birthday. The marathon training was taking a toll on my feet! I think I still may do that for my birthday, even though I will be slowing down on the running. My shoes are so old.

Anyway, what a great birthday. Thank you all for your love and friendship. Thanks for being so excited about our new arrival. 30 is going to be a great year!
