Birthday Success
Well, we made it through the weekend!
It helped that Matt and I were able to go out on Friday night. We went to dinner and then shopping for our Q. We bought her the huge 3 story, 4 footer barbie house.
Little did we know our G was barfing at our friends house while we were out! Woops! That's a bummer. He only vomited once, but he's been sick this weekend.
Saturday was a whirlwind! We woke up and cleaned, got dressed and finished little details for the party. Q had two 'princes' over and 5 other 'princesses'.
We started our party off with decorating sheilds and crowns. Glitter, jewels, letters, foam as far as the eye can see! Our next activity was for the boys! The girls were 'captured' and taken upstairs where they got all dressed up in their princess garb. I took the boys down to the 'dungeon' and we fought our way to the princesses! We climbed up the muddy mountain and slid down the other side, I threw balloons down the stairs as they climbed up (fire breathing dragon) shielding and swinging their swords. We jumped on the trampoline and fought and finally cut through a crepe paper wall! They loved it! The girls were so cute as we saved them, one of them even fell to the floor and needed to be 'kissed' before she woke up! I had our prince blow her a kiss!
Next up was our treasure hunt which was full of hints from princesses... ex: Belle likes to read by the 'fireplace'... After our treasure hunt we decorated cupcakes, opened gifts, then ate pizza.
Q had such a great time, and so did the other kids. It went very well!
G was with dad through the whole party. Poor thing. I think he would've had a great time. He still wasn't feeling too well.
We gave Q her gift after everyone went home and she was short of her breath momentarily! She loves it! She also got a Barbie from 12 dancing princesses.
Matt went over to the church to clear the walks and when he got home I had to go to the church for this fashion show dress rehearsal...
When I got home our friends were on their way to our house. It was so good visiting with them. We made dinner and visited. They may be moving to Rochester which would be so great! Then we could see them often! We haven't been together since we moved from VA. It was so great to reconnect! We love you guys! Hope you made it home safe!
Whew, what a busy day! I'm tired just recapping it!
Yesterday Q came up sick too. No church for all but me! It was kind of nice!
Anyway, I'll try to add pictures at some point. I didn't take many, too many other things to do!
