... Not a creature was stirring....
That wasn't our Christmas version this year!
We played quite the trick on Santa this year! We gave him no time to sneak in to give us gifts between Q's onset of vomiting and G's onset of anxiety.
We put them both down and 10 minutes later they were screaming in tandem. Q with vomit all over herself and her bed and G with a fearful cry.
Q's condition is pretty self explanatory, although I have no idea where she got it from. We were up all night with towels and water. I dashed from our bed to hers all night long. Next time I'll blow up an air mattress and stay put!
G's condition is less obvious! My son is quite the innocent and fearful one. He isn't too into Santa himself, although I think he likes the idea, so the thought of him actually coming into our house apparently sent my son into fits! He kept saying he heard something outside and just could NOT close his eyes! Poor child. He fell asleep in my arms... finally.
ANYWAY, it was a BUSY night! Not the dreamy Christmas kind we normally like!
My poor Q didn't even want to open her presents! Poor G had to wait. He finally lured her in with a gift he bought her. After she opened it she seemed to be okay. But, it was our first Christmas interrupted by 'the crouch'. She opened all of her gifts, but didn't want to play with any. The only thing that got use yesterday was her new Barbie movie! Poor thing! That is no way to spend Christmas!
G seems to be miraculously healed from his ailments! He loved opening his gifts and prefaced each gasp with 'oh boy, oh boy'! So cute! He was so excited! This child though is so cautious, in every way. He would take the bow off, walk it over to the bow bag. Take the name tag off and hand it to someone before starting his present. He is not a 'tear it open' kind of guy. He is a 'by the seam' kind of guy! So funny! He is TWO!!! How can you be so careful.
They are so different!
Matt and I were both completely happy with our surprises for each other! We are so blessed.
So, between the occasional cupping hands and cleanup with my daughter I cleaned and put stuff away and relaxed. It was a good day!
I hope each of you had a Merry Christmas. I'll be back today to show some photos! Hugs!
