Finally some time (warning: LONG POST AHEAD)
I'm just sitting here awaiting a phone call, so I've got time to kill!
Good luck to my friend Beth Opel who is in LV right now living it up and awaiting the results of CK's Scrapbooker of the Year contest. I should hear soon! I hope she wins!!!!
We had a great weekend.
Friday watched kids, which was crazy because now there are 11 of them! Ug! It's not that bad and we get the next 3 weekends off, to date, so it's well worth it!
Saturday morning I went out for a photo shoot. They went well, but I didn't even shoot for that long before the little girl was OOC! I got plenty so all is well! Here are just a couple. I hope to finish them this week and get them in my photosite.
After the shoot I went and bought drapes for our front room. We put them up yesterday and they look so good! They so complete that room!
I left at 1:30 to head out with the girls. Molly C., Tara C., and Kim (Tara's friend) all headed up to Canada. First on our list... IKEA. Molly had never been so we took some much needed time to take it all in! I made some purchases! I have been wanting a pot rack for a long time, haven't been able to find one, found it! SOOOOOOO bought it! I bought curtains for Q's room, hot pink. I bought some stuff for the play room, next on my list. I bought a shelf for my room, now it is complete. And some other goodies like a red square bowl, paint brushes, pictures of boats......
We headed up to Toronto and ate at the Spaghetti Factory. We were in a hurry, but the food was good.
Next, the show! We barely made it on time. We parked right across the street for $20 because we were so late! Then we sat... we sat and took it in! LOVED THAT SHOW!!! So clever, so well put together, so fabulously performed. LOVED WICKED. See it if you can! LOVED IT!
We got home late, but it was fantastic. We gabbed our guts out and all was well.
Sunday I had a photo shoot. It was my favorite family shoot I've done! This crazy family had me in stitches! Felt totally comfy, we were laughing, and family photos weren't at all painful! It was good. I can't wait to start on them!
Sunday night we had the Ch's over for dinner. They are good peeps. We dig 'em.
Monday was a work day. Took my car in to be serviced. Exchanged drapes for Matt's room. Hit Lowe's to get stuff for the pot rack. Target for a snack and drapery hardware. Back home to get busy. We started outside. I planted MANY bulbes! My hand is bruised from digging! I planted tulips, crocus and some other flower. I think it will look lovely this spring.
Matt was the project master yesterday. He hung drapes, my shelf, the pot rack, trimmed the hedges and didn't rest much in between!
I danced last night. It was good. It's feeling better. (My jazz is a little rusty!)
Today I got my prize package in the mail! I love getting new stuff!
And, here I am. Whew!
Busy week still going on. Maybe next week will slow...
Tues: preschool, YW's
Wed: play group, prepare and teach dance class
Thur: preschool, card group meeting
Fri: leave for youth conference
Sat: youth conference
Sun: teach
Oh, and I finished a LO. This is of my fab friend Jessica. A little ditty for your birthday. Love you my friend. Glad you are a part of my life.
