My internet has been on the fritz! I have to hurry and post before I loose this... again!!!
Oh (sigh) yesterday was a great day...
I've waited a long time to paint... since we moved from UT. Putting on that primer was a good feeling. Painting on the red, late last night, was even better. AHHHH, satisfaction. That bathroom is going to look hot! Red, with white trim, tile, sink and toilet. A big black mirror against the red... yummy! I need to do another coat today... I'm still excited!
Our walls have turned out really good. They looked so beat up, we were really nervous. I think I could take up a career doing drywall! It really is an artform! We are pleased. The next chore to finish is the entry and hall going up the stairs. We have one wall that is completely thrashed, no hope fixing it... even for me! I think I'm going to buy a textured wallpaper, made for painting over. I just need to cover one wall. The other option is to completely replace it. Ugh!
The other thing I've been working on is replenishing my stock!!! Sounds so business-like! We have this craft fair coming up April 1 (really) and I need to at least replace the things I've sold. I'm hoping for success with this one... at least what I've put into it. If I can't get at least that out of this show, I'm finished!
I'm putting a 'portfolio' together and I'm going to have it at our table, along with business cards, to self promote the photography thing! We'll see how that goes... I'm hopeful!!!
Sunday night I watched "Pride and Prejudice"... the LDS version... and I totally saw Hubble Palmer (Jen, Tennisa, or Ali, if you see Johnny B or Geoff C tell them about this). He was a boy I went to Junior High with. He was a Student Body Officer in 9th grade. We worked together since I was a cheerleader and all!!! Anyway, he totally had a big role in this movie! Odd!
Anyway, seeing him took Matt and I to our yearbooks and a bit of reminiscing!!! It was hilarious seeing the notes written by long time friends, before they hit puberty! I forgot that Matt’s photo was never put in his 7th grade year book. Poor guy! His name is there, but not his photo! Well, seeing those old yearbooks spawned a desire to watch old home videos. We were up very late!
It’s fun to look back. It’s interesting to look back. It’s healing to look back.
