Half way through the week.
Monday
Matt and I started getting up early together. This way I can go running by myself before he goes to work and he can get in a bit of a work out as well.
I went visiting teaching for church. Three of us got to visit and get to know each other better. What a great program to get sisters to visit one another and develop relationships to be able to rely on one another. I love it.
Danced, danced, danced. I have been commissioned to be in charge of a little number for our church Christmas party. We have a bunch of women, who don't dance, doing a bit of a spoof on "The Nutcracker". It should be entertaining! I just need to get it all done... in my head... before our little rehearsal Wednesday (oh, today!)
Tuesday
I watched some children yesterday.... whew! It felt like a LONG day! One child in the morning, which wasn't bad at all, G slept the whole time our little guest was here. The second round wasn't bad, just busy, and loud, and busy! Four little kids, under three, is ALOT of work! It's a great setup though. My friend and I swap kids for a few hours to get some free time for ourselves. Our older kids both play really well together so it's a bonus for them too, especially now during the winter, they get so antsy! The best part? Tomorrow when I get my free time!
I started decorating for Christmas, which for me also means "winter" cleaning! I've always been this way. My mom would send me up to my room to clean it, then come and check on me later to find an even bigger mess. I have to undo it all then redo it to make it really clean and organized! Same story even today. Hopefully we'll be all put back together by today... or tomorrow.
I was going to go to a friend's house to make jewelry last night, but Matt came home late, after a very busy and long day. He took some much needed time for himself. He went and played basketball with some guys. He came home and (sarcastically, for those who don't know my husband) wondered why there aren't more "fat guys" in the MBA. He is enjoying himself and there is talk of him being some superstar player!!!
Last night we were getting the kids ready for bed, specifically getting ready for family prayers, and Q was being silly. She grabbed my face to shake it, but couldn't and started giggling. I asked her what was so funny.
Mom you have that thing on your forehead!!! (laughter follows).
I politely told her it's a zit!
Mom you have a zit on your forehead!!!
Laughter followed that too, Matt being the loudest!
Kids say the darndest things, and are very perceptive!
Today
I was going to go to play group, but little G has a cold. I think I'll try to stop the perpetual sharing of "the cold" by avoiding play group today. We all keep passing the yucks to each other... we should really try to stop that!
Tonight we have our little rehearsal, then ice cream after!
I think I'll work on more stuff for this Saturday. I'll be glad when this craft fair is over. I am excited for the experience though, and it has been fun to get ready for it. With that in mind I'll leave you with some inventory...
Wine glass charms
Cards both bundled and individual... these are the bundled ones.
Magnet boards
Magnets, both holiday and "other". This is the idea that will be published in the Dec/Jan issue of Scrapbook Trends. I still haven't gotten my goodies for it. I'm waiting!!!!
I still have more to photograph. I'll finish the inventory photos tomorrow! I really have been busy for this thing. It better pay off!!!!
