How old is your oldest, closest friend? Lynette and I have been friends for MANY years. We grew up in the same neighborhood and went to church together as well as school. We went to each other's birthday parties, among other things I can't remember... she always fills me in on the memories I no longer have!!! Anyway, our friendship really began to flourish the summer before I went away to college. She is the greatest.

It's important to have at least one friend that 'knows it all and loves you anyway'. She does know it all. My history, my family, my challenges and personality flaws. I think we partly know each other so well because we are so much alike. Knowing her is like knowing me.

She is a friend I can talk FOR HOURS with on the phone, about everything, and still feel like I'm not finished with our conversation when we have to go! She is a spaz! She is caring, creative and full of life. She is honest, especially about how she feels, which I love!!! She is courteous, complimentary and oh so funny! She is a person I will never get enough of and I'm glad I never have to.

Aaaaand, she is coming to visit at the end of this month, oh it will be crafting bliss!!!! I can't wait!

By the way, that photo was taken when I was nine months preggers w/ Q. That is why my nose is stretched across my face, no, wait, it's that camera's fault... that's it!

On a different note, here is a layout from today. I lifted/was inspired by a layout done by Beth. I like how it turned out.

ETA JOURNALING: Look at that child marching with confidence, unaware of the cautious parent watching and walking behind. You already 'advance confidently' and you are only two! I hope you never grow out of this! But, I also hope that as we watch and caution from behind, you will know it is out of love and concern. Although you are sure of yourself out in front and on your own, the view of your father is farther reaching and a bit more clear. He can see more. I hope as you grow and forge ahead fearlessly that you will glance back, maybe for help, to make sure the way ahead is clear.
