This was effer dare #8... Scrap 'everyday'.
The journaling is as follows: There are some things in my life that are mundane as I do them each day... dishes, PB&J, diapers, laundry, reminding my kids to share... Although I do it everyday, rocking never gets old. I treasure 'rock time' each night; a quiet cuddle time to sing, talk, just hold and love my kids. One by one we sit on this chair, and rock, before I put them to bed. Almost everyday I hear in my head the words 'rock me daddy', the title of an article my father wrote when I was young. I can see the golden yellow chair in my parents bedroom, and am reminded of a tender tradition that produces closeness and love. I hope my kids grow to appreciate rock time. I know it is an everyday occurance that I will treasure and love always.
Also, today talked to Jess on the phone. I think we may have some visitors in November! That sure does brighten the day! Love you guys!
Talked to another friend Haley, who just had a baby, her second! She is the only friend from C-ville I keep in contact with. I'm grateful for your friendship girl!
I still need to email some good friends. I just have to take a big chunk of time and get it done! It is alway fun to get responses!
Susan and Beth thanks for including me in the regular photo emails, makes me feel special!
Tomorrow we go to the apple orchard, I hope to take many photos, and girls night! Yahoo!
