Hit By a Car
Here is the story for those who don't know, or those who did know, but have forgotten! The story.... edited version!
Six year old girl, who is terrified of dogs, is playing at friend's house.
Dinner time rolls around and girl’s father calls (on the phone) for her to come home.
Girl cries... doesn't want to walk... many dogs on the route!
Father won't come to get girl.
Mother of friend feels sorry for girl and will drive her half way... past the dogs.
Mother drops girl off on mother's side of busy street.
Girl has to cross busy street.
Girl watches for signal from friend’s mom.
Girl misunderstands... and.....
BAM!!!!
Girl flies through air like floppy doll!
Yes, I was that floppy doll!
I'm sure my father felt some regret that he didn't come get me.
I'm sure my friend's mom wished she would've taken me across the street.
I'm sure the Shag-Rug-La truck wished he would've gone just a little slower.
But... life is full of decisions and moments we can't take back. We live with them and pray for the best.
The best in this case is that everything turned out fine... I didn't die!!! I am a little spastic at times and, at others feel like I lost much of my brain in that accident, that happened in my childhood!!! Is it too far gone to blame my airhead moments on that??? What do you think?
That's the story folks!!! I hope it was enjoyable!
